Salt Booth & Halotherapy

Sit back, breathe easy, and let a dry salt mist do the work. Here's what our salt booth is, how it works, and what to expect from a session.

What It Is

A booth you sit in and enjoy the health benefits of dry salt

Our salt booth uses halotherapy (from "halos," Greek for salt) — a halogenerator gently grinds pharmaceutical-grade salt into a fine, dry micro-particle mist that fills the room while you relax in a private, sauna-like booth minus the heat.

Unlike a salt scrub or bath, the fine particulate salt passively nourishes your skin while you simply sit, breathe normally, and let the dry salt surround you for the length of the session. The dry salt is not only phenomenal for your respiratory system but also excellent for skin conditions.

Why People Try It

Reported benefits of halotherapy

Halotherapy is used as a complementary wellness practice. It's not a replacement for medical treatment, but many guests use it alongside their normal care routine.

Easier breathing

Micro salt particles are traditionally used to support clearer sinuses and easier breathing, especially for guests with seasonal congestion or dry air sensitivity.

Calmer skin

Salt has natural antibacterial properties and is often used by guests looking to support skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, or general dryness.

Deep relaxation

The dim, quiet booth combined with slow breathing gives your nervous system a genuine reset — many guests treat it as a stand-alone stress reliever.

Research & Evidence

What the research says about salt therapy

Interest in halotherapy is supported by a growing body of peer-reviewed research. A few studies worth reading:

These studies are shared for educational purposes. Halotherapy is a complementary wellness service and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.

What To Expect

Your salt booth session, step by step

1

Get settled

Get comfortable in the booth's lounge seating and wear whatever you like. No preparation needed.

2

Breathe naturally

The halogenerator releases a fine, dry salt mist into the room. You'll simply breathe normally.

3

Relax for 10 min

A typical session runs about 10 minutes — close your eyes, breathe, and let the salt air do the work.

4

Brush off & go

A light dusting of salt may settle on clothing or skin; simply brush it off. No shower required.

Good to know before you book

Halotherapy is generally well tolerated, but if you have severe asthma, a chronic respiratory condition, or are pregnant, check with your physician first and let your therapist know before your session. Halotherapy is a complementary wellness service, not a medical treatment.

FAQ

Common salt booth questions

Do I need to change clothes or bring anything?

You can stay in your regular clothes — comfortable, breathable clothing is all you need. A robe is provided if you'd rather not wear your own clothes, and some guests wear a swimsuit so more skin is exposed to the benefits of the salt.

Is the salt booth safe for kids?

Many families use halotherapy together. Let us know ahead of time if you're booking for a child so we can plan the session accordingly. Research has shown the benefits of halotherapy in combating RSV.

How often should I go?

It varies by person and goal. Some guests come weekly for seasonal support, others add a session onto their regular massage visit. We can help you figure out a rhythm that fits.

Can I combine it with a massage?

Yes — many guests add a salt booth session before or after a massage appointment. Ask about combined booking when you schedule.
